Tree samples from OrthoMam and processed by TaxOnTree

Tree samples from OrthoMam was downloaded and used as inputs in TaxOnTree. A script was written to process the taxonomy report generated for each tree analysis and to classify each taxon from Superorder taxonomy rank according to its cluster organization in the tree.

Taxons in each tree are classified as:

  • Single: species from this taxon form a unique cluster;
  • Partial in: species from this taxon form multiple clusters because of a few species from other taxon;
  • Partial out: most of species of this taxon cluster together in a main cluster. One or two species are out of this main cluster;
  • Multiple: species from this taxon do not cluster together.
