Data Input
CONAN has four input types: Multiple Sequence Alignment file, FASTA sequence, PFAM ID and Uniprot ID.
The input multiple sequence alignment file must be in one of the formats: Selex, Stockholm or Fasta. It is also recommended that the sequence labels follows the Pfam format (i.e. [entry name or accession code]/offsets), otherwise the application will not be able to match UniprotKb annotations to the sequences. A sample can be accessed here
The FASTA sequence input must be pasted in their corresponded field. After submit the sequence, CONAN will perform a HmmerScan and you must select what domain is going to be analyzed.
Restrictions:
- 50mb maximum input file.
- Maximum number of sequences: 4.000 sequences if you include marginal conservation, otherwise 15.000.
For larger inputs please download our desktop scripts.
